Is lip primer necessary?
Lip primer is a necessity for helping any lip products stay on!
MAC Cosmetics Prep and Prime Lip is the perfect lip primer, it’s packaged in an easy to apply, retractable stick form. Our Prep and Prime Lip is a colour-free base that needs to be applied to the full lip including the lip line, this will prevent lipsticks and lip pencils from feathering and allow the products to seal to the lip increasing their longevity. Not only is the Prep and Prime Lip good for keeping products on but it also helps to smoothe and hydrate the lips immediately.
Some products I would recommend alongside the Prep and Prime Lip would be our Lip Scrubtious in "Sweet Vanilla" however this does come in 5 other flavours to choose from! This will gently buff away any unwanted dry flaky skin leaving the lips look smooth and nourished. Use a pea sized amount with circular motions across the full lip and remove this with our Gently Off Eye and Lip Remover on a cotton pad. Our Gently Off Eye and Lip Remover is also great for removing any eye and lip products including waterproof! For a more natural lip look I would recomend our Lip Pencil "Spice" apply this to the full lip, this will help even out the lip tone to create a more natural lip colour.To finish the lip apply our Matte Lipstick "Velvet Teddy" to the full lip, this is a gorgeous natural lip colour that is perfect for all skin tones!
